At Raise Neuro, we have an outstanding team of specialist neurological physiotherapists. With experience spanning leading NHS hospitals, private practice, community services, and charities, our team brings both exceptional expertise and genuine care to every client.
Each physiotherapist has advanced training in a wide range of neurological therapies and many contribute to research, teaching, and professional development.
Together, they combine evidence-based practice with a client-centred approach, working closely with clients and families to support recovery, independence, and quality of life.
Kate Bull, Clinical Director
Kate has specialised in neurological physiotherapy since 2001. She has worked in the community helping people with neurological conditions for several years and has strong connections with other private and NHS services and professionals supporting people to live at home.
She spent fifteen years at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, delivering specialist physiotherapy across services such as the Multiple Sclerosis Walking clinic, Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES), Orthotics, and Motor Neurone Disease clinics. Earlier in her career, she held positions at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability in Putney and the Royal London Hospital, where she gained extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of complex neurological conditions.
Kate has a specialist interest in FES and neuro-orthotics for walking and is our FES service lead. She has extensive experience in the treatment of dizziness and reduced balance due to central and peripheral cause and was a committee member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Vestibular Rehabilitation
Kate believes that maintaining a broad range of treatment skills and experience enhances the care she provides to her clients. She is a certified Pilates instructor and serves as the UK course instructor for APPI Neuro Pilates. In addition, she runs a weekly Neuro Pilates class for the charity LEGS in Wandsworth. Kate has completed advanced-level Bobath training and studied the PD Warrior programme for Parkinson’s. She has contributed professionally to Bridges, a self-management programme for people with neuromuscular conditions, and volunteers as a facilitator for the Wimbledon Headway support group.

Annys Fairweather, Physiotherapist
Annys is a physiotherapist with extensive experience in neurological rehabilitation in NHS, private and charitable settings. As the founder and Chair of LEGS - a charity providing rehab, support and education to people with neurological conditions - Annys has been instrumental in delivering essential services with a compassionate, person-centred approach. Her work reflects a commitment to supporting individuals improve their mobility, function and overall quality of life.
Annys is a certified Pilates instructor, blending her physiotherapy expertise with Pilates-based rehabilitation to enhance functional strength and self-management, particularly for clients with spinal and hip pain. She is passionate about empowering clients through tailored exercise programmes that foster recovery and independence.
Annys has a special interest in hormone health and peri/menopause, the management of which she studies and integrates into her holistic treatment plans. She is dedicated to designing personalised strategies that address each client’s unique experiences and goals. Annys teaches online and face to face exercise groups, that have a focus on strength training and incorporate lifestyle and nutritional advice, that assist women to navigate menopause healthily.

Chelsey Scoreby, Physiotherapist
Chelsey has specialised in neurological physiotherapy for over ten years, developing extensive expertise while working alongside leading clinicians in three major London teaching hospitals. She currently works at St George’s University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, alongside her role with Raise Neuro, providing specialist neuro physiotherapy in clients’ homes.
Chelsey treats a broad range of neurological conditions, including acute brain injuries, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injuries, central nervous system tumours, and progressive neurological disorders. She has a particular interest in Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and collaborates with other specialist therapists to improve the understanding, management, and treatment of this condition.
Chelsey is passionate about delivering client-centred rehabilitation, integrating each person’s interests and goals to enhance engagement and achieve meaningful outcomes. She works closely with multidisciplinary teams across both the NHS and private sectors and maintains strong links with local community and voluntary services, ensuring her clients receive holistic, well-coordinated care that supports their long-term wellbeing.

Ben Beare, Physiotherapist
Ben is a highly experienced physiotherapist who has specialised in the treatment of neurological conditions for over fifteen years. For a decade he worked at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery where he gained extensive clinical expertise in both acute and rehabilitation settings, treating a wide variety of neurological conditions. He continues to maintain strong academic and clinical links with the hospital’s internationally recognised Upper Limb Rehabilitation Service.
In addition to providing specialist neurophysiotherapy for clients in their homes, Ben is a Lecturer and Researcher in Physiotherapy at Brunel University. His research has focused on innovative approaches to neurological rehabilitation, including the use of functional electrical stimulation (FES) to manage bradykinesia in Parkinson’s disease and the development of telerehabilitation programmes to support individuals recovering from acquired brain injury. His principal research interest lies in shoulder pain among people with neurological conditions, a field in which he completed his doctorate.
Ben also has wide-ranging professional connections across London, collaborating with expert clinicians in the NHS, private practice, and charitable organisations to ensure the highest standards of care for people living with neurological conditions.
He is highly skilled in the application of rehabilitation adjuncts designed to maximise recovery and is committed to social and community-based initiatives that help clients improve their quality of life and maintain independence.

Jess Cusack, Physiotherapist
Jess has specialised in neurological physiotherapy for eight years and has extensive experience from working in clients’ homes, hospitals and rehabilitation units. Jess is passionate about providing engaging, motivating physiotherapy sessions that focus on each person’s individuality ensuring therapy is both effective and enjoyable.
She is currently the Team Lead Neurological Physiotherapist at King’s College Hospital, where she leads a multidisciplinary team providing specialist rehabilitation for individuals with complex neurological conditions alongside her work seeing clients at home.
She has expertise in treating a wide range of conditions including stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, vestibular conditions and imbalance, neuromuscular conditions and spinal cord injury.
Alongside developing her skills and knowledge through close collaboration with expert clinicians at King’s College Hospital, Jess is committed to continually advancing her professional practice.
She regularly undertakes further training to enhance her clinical expertise and ensure her treatment approach remains evidence-based and effective. Jess has specialist training in FES, Bobath, management of facial palsy and Neuro Fit. Like Kate, she is a qualified APPI Pilates instructor and integrates Pilates principles into her physiotherapy practice to improve movement.

Sarah Sparkes, Physiotherapist
Sarah has developed an interest and enthusiasm for neuro physiotherapy soon after she qualified in 2004 and is passionate about providing high quality and accessible neurorehabilitation to help people to achieve their goals.
She has developed her expertise through experience in clinical roles at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and St Georges NHS Trusts and because she is driven to provide evidence based care she completed an MSc in Neurological Rehabilitation. Alongside seeing clients at home she is the clinical lead for LEGS, a charity running exercise and peer support groups for people with neurological conditions, providing on-line and face to face care.
Her areas of specialist interest include stroke rehabilitation, traumatic brain injury, spinal injuries, progressive neurological conditions, neuro oncology, and rehabilitation post neurosurgical interventions. She is trained in the use of FES and has specialist knowledge in the management of spasticity. As well as her MSc Sarah has completed extensive postgraduate training including PD Warrior, Neuro Fit and Advanced and Basic Bobath training. She is a committee member of London ACPIN the specialist interest group for physiotherapists with an interest in neuro.
